We observe the shifts in this era amidst compounding disasters. We present a convergence of our audiovisual mappings, a testimony of parallel accumulations of collapse that mediate between external and internal experiences. The exchange between Gabriela’s audio part and Noëlle’s video part functions to complement the absence of the other (for Gabriela a missing visual archive of Venezuela; for Noëlle an auditory lack in relation to Lebanon). We deal with tracking down our past premonitions in hindsight.
The footage used here is from a personal collection of videos taken between 2018 and 2019 , when Noelle returned to live in Lebanon.
